Who else loves the irresistible iridescence of pearls? I’m calling this my Mermaid Treasure set, featuring a hand knotted necklace of natural fresh water pearls and Prasiolite, also known as “green amethyst” (the quotes are because this particular shade looks more light blue-green to my eye) and a matching sterling silver bracelet with an adjustable toogle clasp. These have a simple yet elegant design that could easily be dressed up or worn casually.

Pearls represent purity, worth, and creativity—both the process of its struggle and the beauty of the product created. Strongly associated with the element water and Moon magick, they can be used to connect to the inner-feminine, as well attract love and luck.

Green amethyst is relatively new to the magical scene to my knowledge, but those who have worked with it say it is gentle, transformative and healing. I have found it to have a very peaceful vibe, personally.

The tarot cards used in this photo are both The Ace of Cups. Left, from my Children of Litha tarot (available now in my shop) and right, from The Children of Ostara (soon to launch on kickstarter this March 19th). They both feature lotus flowers, which represent enlightenment as well as purity and truth. Seen as rising pristine from the murky depths of ponds and lakes, the lotus represents our inner truth and spirituality, which similarly seems to rise from the murky depths of the emotional and subconscious realm. I find these to pair well with any form of pearl and amethyst, as both help guide us with tranquility through the otherwise turbulent waters of self discovery and emotional mastery.

Measurements: the necklace fits over the head easily ands is about 30” long…because its knotted together in a circle, both sides together measure about 17”, but if you were to cut it and lay it out it would be about 30”. The bracelet has an adjustable clasp, so it can fit just about any adult size.
